A Chapter, that's it
"So what's your story?", he said, with a smile so charming it brightened the garden on that moonless night. "I loved the wrong guy" I said, staring at my shoes to avoid his reaction until I heard him chuckle. "What?" I snapped half annoyed, half relieved. Now so serious as if he wasn't the same guy laughing at my life a minute ago, he slowly reached to touch my chin in order to make me look him in the eye. And when I did I saw a mesmerizing glow in his eyes, I had seen his eyes before, deep-set, glistening, content yet curious, but there was something different about them that night, something special. He drew a little closer as if he was about to reveal a secret that no-one else was supposed to know and when he was so close that I could feel his breath on my cheek, he whispered in his brisk voice "that's just a chapter".
